AWS Data Lake solution components
Ingestion
The ingestion layer can effectively ingest data at varying velocities, either through scheduled batch processing using AWS Glue and AWS Lambda, or via live streaming using Amazon Kinesis. With our AWS Data Lake, the ETL tools used in your on-premises architecture can easily be integrated.
Storage
Depending on your use case, storage can either be facilitated in the AWS Data Lake via S3 buckets, or for longer-term storage solutions – for example, where archiving is required – S3 Glacier can also be used. These storage solutions can automatically be scaled based on requirements, meaning you only ever need to pay for the space used.
Analysis
Third party tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or whatever your company is using, can be incorporated into our solution. This will enable your in-house experts to perform faster and better data analysis. Analysis can also be carried out using AWS tools, such as EMR for big-data analysis (Apache Spark, Hive Presto and other big data frameworks can be integrated). You could also use Athena for simple SQL queries and QuickSight for reporting.
